Most of the situations I'm brought into are not clearly defined problems. They are environments where something isn't working as it should, the cost is being felt but not fully understood, and previous solutions have not resolved the underlying issue.

My role in those situations is always the same.

To help leadership see what is actually happening before deciding what to do about it.

I spent the first two decades of my career as a brand and business strategist working across organisations of significant scale, from global consumer brands to founder-led businesses navigating growth.

That vantage point, across many different systems and conditions, revealed a pattern I kept seeing regardless of sector, size, or sophistication.

The most capable organisations were still capable, and the most committed leaders were still committed, but something between intent and execution kept drifting. The strategy that made sense on paper wasn't landing in practice, and the culture was carrying weight it was never designed to hold. The pressure was real, but it was the misalignment underneath the pressure that was costing the most.

I've also carried this from the inside. There have been periods in my life when the pressure was not theoretical.  When circumstances moved beyond what I thought I was capable of, and the only option was to find a level of clarity and functioning I didn't know I had. What those periods taught me, more than two decades of professional work, is the difference between a problem and a situation. They require fundamentally different responses. Misidentifying one as the other, particularly under sustained pressure, is where the real cost accumulates.

That distinction is now central to how I work.

MY BACKGROUND


Every engagement begins with the Organisational Alignment Diagnostic, a focused three to four week piece of work designed to establish a clear view of what is actually happening inside the organisation before any further decisions are made.

For some clients, that is the complete engagement. The diagnostic produces clarity, and they move forward independently with what it reveals.

For others, the diagnosis reveals that the work ahead needs active support. In those cases, I offer a three-month Advisory. A focused engagement structured around the client's situation and what will make the most meaningful difference in the time available.

The choice is always yours. Some leaders want clarity and the confidence to act on it themselves. Others want someone alongside them as they do. Both options are valid, and both are available to all.

My role in either case is the same – to help leadership see clearly before acting.

Alongside the advisory practice, I offer a separate programme for individuals and leadership teams who want to develop this capacity at a personal level.

While one approach works on the system, the other works on the person. Both come from the same understanding that clarity at the individual level and alignment at the organisational level are not separate problems. They are the same problem at different scales.
